The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to the residents, and supervision and direction of the day to day activities performed by the nursing assistants in accordance with current guidelines and regulations. Essential duties include providing direct resident care, administering medications, developing care plans, conducting resident rounds, counting narcotics, participating in facility education programs, ensuring compliance with federal/state/local regulations, documenting resident care, practicing infection control, and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
RN License
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current license as an RN in the state of Pennsylvania
Knowledge of current nursing practices
Knowledge of current pharmacological interventions and appropriate administration
Knowledge of state and federal regulations in Long Term Care
Working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and appropriate administration
Basic computer skills
