About this role

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cardiac Nurse, you’ll care for patients who may have life-threatening cardiac events or conditions while helping their families navigate daily care and the long-term plan for healing and maintenance outside of the hospital.

You’ll never have the same day twice as your patients’ needs evolve. That’s why you must be adaptable and detail-oriented, observing vitals and reporting the warning signs early to our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, EKG techs, and other cardiovascular professionals.

Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to go the extra mile for your patients and your strong assessment skills. To further support your nursing career, we offer continuing education opportunities to help you advance your clinical nursing skills.

Perform and monitor cardiovascular diagnostic and stress testing, including EKG interpretation, IV therapy, and continuous assessment to ensure patient safety and identify abnormal findings. Assess, triage, and manage cardiac patients using clinical judgment, established protocols, and collaboration with providers to coordinate treatment, testing, and emergency interventions. Provide comprehensive patient education and care coordination by reviewing medical histories, preparing patients for procedures, and delivering pre- and post-procedure instructions.

Administer medications and IV therapies, monitor cardiac devices and diagnostic results, and assist with treatment planning, medication adjustments, and follow-up care. Complete cardiac risk assessments, medical documentation, and regulatory forms while maintaining accurate electronic medical records and supporting provider decision-making. Respond to patient inquiries, process provider orders, maintain emergency preparedness and clinical equipment, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary cardiovascular care team to deliver high-quality patient care.
