  • To respond to LPN calls for questions and nursing supervision

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to

  • Maintaining current RN licensure in the state of NH.
  • Ensuring the Supported Residential services comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Ensuring a safe environment for residents.
  • Uphold NH Patient’s Bill of Rights and perform all duties in accordance with Rose Meadow’s Mission Statement.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures for the care and services of the residents served are adhered to by staff at ROSE MEADOW.
  • Ensuring that ROSE MEADOW operates in a professional and ethical manner in all its dealings with residents, staff members, families, professionals in the field, etc.
  • Delegating authority/responsibility to qualified staff members to assist in carrying out the resident care plans.
  • Complete daily rounds on residents and delegate responsibilities as needed (unless otherwise specified in the care plan or requested by the Administrator of ROSE MEADOW).
  • Will monitor the health needs of all residents, referring to a physician as the resident need dictates.
  • Follow through with medical management of temporary illnesses (ex: UTI) until resolution.
  • Will ensure scheduling of all medical, dental, lab, and x-ray appointments when appropriate. The Charge Nurse will accompany residents on medical appointments, as deemed appropriate by the Administrator.
  • Will facilitate obtaining copies of reports from medical professionals on all scheduled medical, dental, lab and x-ray appointments and maintain same in client record.
  • Will facilitate the ordering/re-ordering of all medications for residents as prescribed by physician and manage current medication system.
  • Reading resident progress notes and any other relevant documentations (relevant incident reports, case notes, etc.) for all residents at least weekly and consulting with staff members concerning health issues of residents.
  • Responsible for reviewing MARS twice weekly, resolving discrepancies and ensuring all state requirements are met.
  • Responsible for the completing and submitting on schedule the following documents: Initial nursing assessment, as needed nursing assessments (in conjunction with the R. A. T.) and weekly on-call logs.
  • Consulting with staff members concerning health issues of residents.
  • Assist in the development of appropriate individual care plans and ADL Routines for residents and ensure any revisions are made as needed and in a timely manner.
  • May administer first aid to staff and residents within the scope of professional nursing practice.
