The Occupational Health Nurse is a trusted resource for employees and leaders at our Texas City site, providing occupational health services that protect employee health, support safe return to work and promote a strong safety culture. This is an opportunity for an experienced RN with occupational health case management experience to bring their clinical expertise into a highly autonomous role supporting employees in a chemical manufacturing environment. You will partner closely with SHEQ, HR, Industrial Hygiene, site leadership and healthcare providers to manage employee health cases, medical surveillance and workplace health programs while providing compassionate support to employees experiencing occupational and non-occupational illnesses or injuries. This is an onsite, Monday–Friday position supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation, with occasional after-hours support when needed.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
5+ years of professional RN experience, including hands-on experience with occupational health case management
Demonstrated experience managing employee medical cases, including return-to-work, fitness-for-duty, FMLA/medical leave, and workplace injuries and illnesses
Working knowledge of OSHA and occupational health requirements, with an understanding of ADA, FMLA and workplace medical confidentiality
Experience in chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, manufacturing or another industrial environment preferred, but not required
Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage multiple employee health cases, programs and confidential medical records
Compassionate, approachable communication style with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees
