Position Summary The Director of Nursing / Deputy Administrator provides leadership and oversight of clinical operations, quality management, regulatory compliance, staff development, and strategic initiatives throughout the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional patient care, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, supporting accreditation standards, and developing high-performing clinical teams. As Deputy Administrator, the successful candidate will also contribute to operational management, business development initiatives, agency growth strategies, and organizational performance improvement efforts. Key Leadership ResponsibilitiesClinical Operations Leadership * Direct and oversee daily clinical operations and nursing services * Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, patient-centered care * Monitor clinical performance, outcomes, and quality metrics * Support patient assessments, care planning, and service coordination * Address complex clinical issues and provide leadership guidance Staff Leadership & Development * Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain clinical talent * Conduct performance evaluations and coaching initiatives * Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence * Support ongoing staff education and professional development Regulatory & Accreditation Compliance * Ensure compliance with federal, state, Medicare, Medicaid, and accreditation standards * Oversee policy and procedure development and implementation * Lead survey preparation, audit readiness, and corrective action initiatives * Monitor risk management and quality assurance activities Quality Improvement & Auditing * Lead quality improvement and performance management programs * Participate in agency-wide auditing and compliance activities * Analyze operational and clinical data to identify opportunities for improvement * Drive initiatives that improve patient outcomes and organizational effectiveness Business & Strategic Leadership * Collaborate with executive leadership on organizational planning and growth initiatives * Support business development efforts and community partnerships * Assist with operational planning, budgeting, and resource allocation * Contribute to long-term strategic goals and agency expansion QualificationsRequired * Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) * Progressive leadership experience in home health care or home care operations * Experience managing both skilled and non-skilled home care services * Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, state regulations, and accreditation standards * Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary clinical teams * Experience with quality assurance, compliance, and operational oversight * Strong financial, operational, and business management skills * Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities * Ability to perform supervisory field visits and respond to operational needs Preferred * Master's degree (MSN, MHA, MBA, or related field) * Director of Nursing, Clinical Director, Administrator, or senior healthcare leadership experience * Joint Commission survey experience * Homecare Homebase or similar home health software experience * Business development and growth management experience The Ideal Candidate You are: * A visionary healthcare leader * Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care * Skilled at balancing clinical excellence with operational performance * A mentor who develops and inspires teams * Experienced in regulatory compliance and quality management * Strategic, analytical, and solutions-focused * Committed to driving organizational growth and innovation Build Your Legacy in Home Healthcare At Better Home Care, this role offers more than operational oversight—it offers the opportunity to shape clinical excellence, develop future healthcare leaders, strengthen organizational performance, and make a lasting impact on the lives of patients and families.
