About this role
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will oversee nursing personnel and daily nursing operations during an assigned shift, ensuring quality resident care and compliance with applicable regulations and professional standards. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, you will assess residents upon admission and as conditions change, conduct nursing rounds, and monitor resident conditions. You will also provide and supervise direct resident care, review and implement physician orders, and communicate changes in resident conditions between shifts and with physicians/NPs.

- Review and implement physician orders
- Communicate changes in resident conditions between shifts and with physicians/NPs
- Ensure adequate staffing and a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors
- Supervise staff performance, orientation, training, and clinical competencies
- Participate in surveys, discharge planning, QAPI, and quality improvement activities
- Monitor nursing supplies and address staff concerns or grievances
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN/LPN license, as applicable
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year of nursing supervisory experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Peripheral IV certification
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and healthcare standards
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Work Environment & Requirements
- Healthcare setting requiring frequent walking, standing, bending, and other physical activities
- May require extended hours, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage
- May be exposed to infectious diseases and challenging clinical situations
- Must be able to safely lift, transfer, or move residents and objects as required by the position
