Duties

- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by psychiatrists
- Monitor patients' mental health status and response to treatment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Requirements

- Valid RN license with psychiatric specialty certification
- Experience in critical care or psychiatric nursing preferred
- Ability to lift and move patients when necessary
- Proficiency in Athenahealth or similar electronic medical record systems
- Strong anatomy knowledge for understanding the effects of medications on the body
- Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and protocols
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Ability to collaborate effectively with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of infant care principles for patients requiring specialized attention
- Understanding of primary care principles for comprehensive patient support
