*Job Overview*
Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio, Inc. is seeking a *Contract Registered Nurse (RN)* to provide Medication Monitoring and Annual Nursing Reviews for individuals receiving services through our developmental disabilities programs. This role involves oversight of delegated nursing staff and ensuring compliance with Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities requirements. This is a flexible, contract-based opportunity ideal for an experienced nurse seeking independent work.
*Responsibilities*
* Provide *Medication Monitoring* for individuals receiving medications from delegated nursing staff.
* Provide Nursing Delegation to our Direct Support Professionals in homes and in our Activity and Training Centers.
* Conduct *Annual Nursing Reviews* as outlined in each individual’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP).
* Ensure services comply with applicable state, county, and Developmental Disabilities Board requirements.
* Submit *essential reports* and documentation as required.
* Report all *Major Unusual Incidents (MUI)* involving medication errors in accordance with Ohio regulations.
* Communicate with Goodwill Industries regarding changes in individuals’ medical needs or conditions that may require ISP updates or new authorizations.
* Submit *monthly invoices* for hours worked with appropriate documentation.
*Qualifications*
* Current, active *Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license*.
* Ability to maintain all required nursing certifications and training.
* Must pass and maintain required *background checks*, including:
* Criminal background check
* DD Abuser Registry
* Nurse Aide Registry
* Knowledge of Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities regulations and delegated nursing practices preferred.
* Reliable transportation for travel within assigned counties. ( Ross, Fayette, Pickaway, Athens, Hocking, Pike, Vinton and Jackson)
* Ability to work independently under contractual terms while maintaining high standards of patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations. This position is ideal for experienced nurses committed to delivering exceptional patient care across multiple clinical environments while adhering to the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
*Schedule & Contract Terms*
* Flexible scheduling based on service needs.
* The position typically demands between 10-15 hours/week
* Contract may be terminated by either party with *30 days written notice*.
* *Mileage reimbursement* at the State of Ohio approved rate for travel outside Pike County. *Service Area* Athens, Fayette, Hocking, Jackson, Pickaway, Pike, Ross, & Vinton County
