The registered nurse is a clinical practitioner who implements and coordinates patient care specific to the patient population served. The Critical Care RN will be expected to provide nursing team support in Code response and assistance in critical situations hospital wide. Critical Care RN's may cross train and float to additional departments in order to remain productive, yet available in-house for emergencies, when the unit volumes do not necessitate the need for full staffing.
