Registered Nurse position at Wellpath providing patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Works under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s) to provide patient education and activities. Responsibilities include assessing and planning individual treatment programs, administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures, counting controlled substances, documenting nursing encounters using SOAP charting, and communicating with healthcare staff. Cares for overlooked, underserved, and vulnerable patients in a correctional or similar facility setting.
