Registered Nurse

*The Surgery Center of Central PA* is seeking experienced *PRN & PT Registered Nurses (RN)* to join our Pre-Op/PACU team at our ambulatory surgery center. We specialize in *ophthalmology* and *endoscopy*, providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a safe and efficient outpatient setting.

*Responsibilities*

• Perform preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Provide skilled postoperative recovery care and monitor patients until discharge criteria are met.
• Assess and manage pain, nausea, and other postoperative needs.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedure expectations and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

*Qualifications*

• Current RN license.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum of two years of recent experience in Pre-Op, PACU, or perioperative nursing preferred.
• Ambulatory Surgery Center experience preferred.
• Ophthalmology and/or endoscopy experience is a plus.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
