Overview

The RN Clinical Charge Nurse oversees daily unit operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. They direct staff, manage patient assignments, and participate in resource planning.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct patient rounds, evaluate care quality, and utilize evidence-based practices. Facilitate effective interdisciplinary communication, coordinate patient flow, and support performance improvement initiatives. Serve as a resource for staff development and promote a collaborative, respectful environment.

Qualifications & Skills

Requires an Associate or Bachelor’s Nursing degree, current RN license, and BLS certification. Minimum of 1-year nursing experience or 2 years as a relief charge. Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills are essential. Preferred certifications in specialty areas are advantageous.
