RN Behavioral Health (LaSalle General Hospital)

Lasalle General Hospital in Jena, LA is seeking experienced registered nurses (RNs) for our Behavioral Health Unit. Our patients, experiencing mental, emotional and behavioral challenges. will depend on your compassionate care and medical expertise during their healing process. Experience with geriatrics, mental health and medical/surgical preferred. Full-time position: Night Shift *RN Job Responsibilities* * Planning, providing, and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care to patients * Providing, directing and guiding patient teaching, discharge planning, and care * Insuring that high standards of professional nursing are maintained * Supervising Certified Nursing Assistants as assigned * Contributing to educational and quality management *RN Job Requirements* * Must hold a current state license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the standards of the state; * Mental health, geriatric and medical surgical experience a plus * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to visually assess patient's behavior and distinguish changes in emotions and conditions * Excellent organizational and time management skills * Able to work independently and with a team Sunrise Healthcare Management offers competitive hourly wages.
