Position Summary Responsible for the care and supervision of a group of patients, for a designated time frame, Provide care to these patients via therapeutic use Of self, the nursing process, both direct and indirect_ Utilize the environment, available instrumentation. and other health care team members, as appropriate, to provide care to the patients.

Contribute to the administrative functioning of the nursing unit, Assists patients in meeting psychological needs, Position Qualifications Minimum Education Associate degree in nursing or equivalent Minimum Experience 1 year of experience in an acute care setting Required Registration/License/Certification Registered Nursing License ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of DOH or tranfer PALS must be obtained within 6 months of DOH or tranfer BLS obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer TNCC upon hire ENPC within 18 months of DOH/Transfer Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred Experience N/A Preferred Registration/License/Certification N/A Other Requirements Ability to work both cooperatively and independently, to work efficiently under stress, to utilize sound professional judgment in establishing priorities and intervening in urgent and emergent patient care situations. Ability to promote a positive public image of the nursing unit and facility by communicating in a polite, tactful, and professional manner with patients, families, visitors, and co-workers. Required to work in areas Other than those assigned.
