Responsibilities
- Provide direct, holistic nursing care to neonates and NICU patients in line with the Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, establish nursing diagnoses, plan, implement, and evaluate care; revise plans as needed; coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor infant status, manage NICU-specific interventions (including ventilation support per Level III NICU protocols), and ensure patient safety and infection control.
- Communicate with families, educate caregivers, and participate in discharge planning; delegate tasks to appropriate team members as appropriate.
- Maintain documentation in Epic and participate in unit-based workflows; adapt to unit variations while upholding high standards of care.
Requirements
- Active Minnesota RN license
- BLS (AHA or ARC) and NRP certifications
- Level III NICU experience and newborn population experience
- 2+ years of RN experience and 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Epic experience
- Availability for 3x12-hour night shifts and every 3rd weekend
