Travel Registered Nurse NICU Job

• Start date: May 18, 2026
• Setting: NICU unit in a hospital-adjacent clinical environment in Dayton, MN
• Schedule note: Every 3rd weekend required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, holistic nursing care to neonates and NICU patients in line with the Standards of Nursing Practice.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, establish nursing diagnoses, plan, implement, and evaluate care; revise plans as needed; coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor infant status, manage NICU-specific interventions (including ventilation support per Level III NICU protocols), and ensure patient safety and infection control.
• Communicate with families, educate caregivers, and participate in discharge planning; delegate tasks to appropriate team members as appropriate.
• Maintain documentation in Epic and participate in unit-based workflows; adapt to unit variations while upholding high standards of care.

Requirements

• Active Minnesota RN license
• BLS (AHA or ARC) and NRP certifications
• Level III NICU experience and newborn population experience
• 2+ years of RN experience and 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Epic experience
• Availability for 3x12-hour night shifts and every 3rd weekend
