Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric population
STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
Evening shift, 3x12 hours (14:45-3:15)
Every other weekend required, including at least 2 Sundays and 2 Mondays
No block scheduling
Candidates may float to all competent units within the facility
Uses Cerner charting system
Requirements
Active MO RN license or Compact license required at time of consideration
Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Cerner charting experience required, no exceptions
Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
CPI certification required starting January 2026
Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
Must pass EKG exam on orientation day with 80% or higher, including lethal rhythm identification
Experience with 1:4 patient ratios
Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
Copy of certifications required for consideration
At least one reference required for consideration

Complete required CEUs promptly: 4 stroke, 8 trauma, and 4 cardiac CEUs for ED/ER placements
Complete non-billable HealthStream education modules prior to start, averaging 8 hours, and monitor email regularly for new assignments throughout the assignment

Previous staff must have a break in service of at least 1 year before returning
