About the Registered Nurse (RN) Role
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care and ensuring positive clinical outcomes for residents from admission through discharge. The RN works closely with physicians, therapists, families, nursing assistants, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate individualized care plans and maintain the highest standards of resident-centered care.
This position is ideal for nurses with experience in skilled nursing facilities (SNF), long-term care (LTC), rehabilitation nursing, post-acute care, memory care, subacute rehabilitation, geriatric nursing, and healthcare leadership.
Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care including assessments, medication administration, treatments, wound care, and documentation
Monitor resident conditions and promptly communicate changes to physicians and appropriate healthcare team members
Supervise and support STNAs, CNAs, and other nursing staff
Coordinate resident care with physicians, therapists, social services, and interdisciplinary team members
Educate residents and families regarding care plans and treatment goals
Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharge planning
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance with facility standards
Ensure adherence to state, federal, and local regulations governing skilled nursing and long-term care facilities
Promote resident safety, dignity, quality of life, and positive healthcare outcomes
Required Qualifications
Current, active, and unencumbered Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license
Multi-state nursing license accepted where applicable
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current CPR certification
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
