Tact Staff is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Computed Tomography (CT) Technician to join our dynamic radiology team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in medical imaging, with a focus on computed tomography procedures, and a strong commitment to patient care and safety. As a CT Tech, you will operate advanced radiologic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images that aid in patient diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise in radiation safety procedures, anatomy, and physiology will be essential to ensure accurate imaging while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.

  • Operate CT scanners and related radiologic imaging equipment to perform diagnostic scans with precision and efficiency.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring proper positioning, and addressing any concerns to promote a comfortable experience.
  • Follow strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and yourself during all imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to obtain optimal images for diagnostic evaluation across various medical specialties including emergency medicine, trauma centers, and urgent care settings.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, including patient information, imaging parameters, and technical notes.
  • Assist with other radiologic procedures such as fluoroscopy, mammography, DEXA scans, PET scans, nuclear medicine studies, and interventional radiology as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Adhere to aseptic techniques during invasive procedures and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations at all times.

*Qualifications*

  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist with specialized training in computed tomography (CT) from an accredited program.
  • 1 year of recent experience
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
  • Prior experience working in urgent care facilities or Level I/II trauma centers is preferred; emergency room experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation safety protocols in clinical settings.
  • Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to operate complex medical imaging equipment accurately while maintaining high standards of safety and quality control.
  • Knowledge of interventional radiography techniques and aseptic procedures for invasive imaging procedures is a plus.
