Experienced Private Duty RN/LPN | Evenings, Weekends & Overnight

Valentine’s Home Care is seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses for one-on-one Private Duty Nursing assignments throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.

We are currently recruiting nurses for weekday evening, weekend, and overnight assignments , including an immediate overnight need in South St. Louis City .

This position is designed for nurses with established private duty or home-care nursing experience who are comfortable providing independent, clinically focused care in the home.

Current Scheduling Needs

Weekday Evenings

  • 2:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
  • 3:00 p.m-11:00 p.m
  • 4:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m

Weekday Overnight

  • Approximately 9:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m.
  • Current overnight need in South St. Louis City

Weekend Days

  • Saturday and Sunday
  • 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Weekend Evenings

  • Saturday and Sunday
  • 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.

Consistent evening, weekend, or overnight availability is strongly preferred.

At this time, we are not recruiting for general weekday daytime availability unless connected to a specific approved case.

Compensation & Employment

  • Bi-weekly payroll by direct deposit
  • One-on-one Private Duty Nursing

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care according to the client’s individualized Plan of Care
  • Perform nursing assessments and monitor for changes in condition
  • Administer medications and treatments within the scope of practice
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Follow HIPAA, infection-control, safety, and agency standards
  • Communicate clinical concerns and changes in condition to appropriate leadership
  • Maintain reliable attendance and commitment to assigned shifts
  • Use required EVV and timekeeping systems according to agency procedures
  • Maintain professional communication with clients, families, and the care team

Qualifications

Required

  • Active Missouri RN/LPN license in good standing
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Minimum 3 years of Private Duty Nursing, home-care nursing, or closely related skilled nursing experience
  • Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a home-care setting
  • Dependable attendance and schedule commitment

Preferred

  • 5+ years of relevant nursing experience
  • Pediatric or higher-acuity private duty nursing experience
  • Experience with medically complex clients
  • Previous long-term one-on-one nursing assignments
