Registered Nurse

• Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and tube feeding following aseptic techniques.

• Monitor patient conditions closely in acute care units such as ICU, PICU, or trauma centers; respond swiftly to changes in patient status during triage or emergency situations.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with hospital standards including NCQA standards and ICD coding requirements.

• Manage complex cases involving chronic illnesses like cardiac conditions, infectious diseases, or long-term care needs such as memory care or hospice & palliative medicine.

• Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation for legal compliance and quality assurance.

• Provide patient education on health coaching topics including medication management, pain control, nutrition, and discharge planning to promote recovery at home or in assisted living environments.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license with current registration in the applicable state or country.

• Proven experience in various clinical settings such as hospital medicine, emergency room, outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities.

• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding is preferred.

• Critical care experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers highly desirable; experience with ventilators, laboratory testing, sonography or medical imaging is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology; ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations confidently.

• Excellent communication skills working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, patients with disabilities or developmental challenges.

• Ability to handle high-pressure situations such as acute pain management or trauma medicine while maintaining compassionate patient-centered care.
