About this role
*Overview* We are seeking a Part Time dedicated and skilled Triage Nurse to join our healthcare team to cover our Triage Nurse one day week and vacations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and triage, demonstrating the ability to assess and prioritize patient needs effectively. This role is essential in ensuring that patients receive timely and appropriate care based on their medical conditions. The Triage Nurse will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality healthcare services.
*Duties*
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the urgency of care needed.
- Utilize clinical judgment to prioritize patient cases based on severity and needs.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with other nursing staff to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and disease prevention.
*Skills* The ideal candidate should possess a combination of the following
skills
- Proficiency in using EMR systems
- Primary Care experience preferred but willing to train
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform vital signs monitoring, phlebotomy, and other essential nursing procedures.
- Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and diagnostic evaluation processes. We value teamwork, compassion, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour Work Location: In person
