Medication Refill Nurse (RN) Position Summary
Hawaiʻi Island Community Health Center (HICHC) is seeking a dedicated Medication Refill Nurse (RN) to join our Pharmacy Services team. Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Pharmacy Services, this position is responsible for reviewing and processing medication refill requests, coordinating patient care, and ensuring compliance with HICHC protocols and standards. The position also provides supervision to an assigned Prescription Specialist.
Location: HICHC Hilo Keiki or Kuakini Administration Office Status: Full-Time, Exempt Salary Range: $77,584.81 - $106,647.41 annually based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. Responsibilities Review and process prescription refill requests. Evaluate medical records and clinical information to support refill decisions. Communicate with patients, providers, and pharmacies regarding medication needs. Order and review diagnostic tests as appropriate. Document patient interactions and changes in condition. Support patient care coordination and follow-up. Supervise and support an assigned Prescription Specialist. Qualifications
Required
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. Current Hawaiʻi Registered Nurse (RN) license. Current BLS certification. Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong computer and communication skills.
