Responsibilities
General Purpose: Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
PT position available (30 hrs) Days M-F
Responsible for care of women with high-risk pregnancies in the ambulatory setting. This position will focus on diabetes in pregnancy providing specialized nursing care, education, and care coordination. The RN will collaborate closely with providers, diabetes educators, pharmacies, and insurance companies to complete medication prior authorizations and facilitate timely access to prescribed therapies and supplies. Additional duties include telephone triage to ensure communication between patients and providers and coordination care.
Position includes fetal monitoring, as well as coordination of the care of women experiencing a high-risk pregnancy, Fetal monitoring experience and minimum of 1-2 years obstetrical nursing experience required. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a multidisciplinary maternal-fetal medicine setting.
