Department/Unit Summary
Join our team in a 26 room Medical Surgical Bariatrics, Ortho and Oncology unit, located on the 3rd floor, where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of RNs, LPNs, CMAs and CNAs. With a 1:5 to 1:6 nurse to patient ratio, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
How you’ll contribute as an employee of MMC you will join a team that embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for the delivery of patient care. You will work with a team committed to ensure patients receive optimal medical attention and support. As a Charge Nurse you will be leading and supporting nursing staff in the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant patient care.
This role includes clinical mentorship, documentation oversight, and coordination of staff assignments based on patient needs. You will be providing direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Supervises nursing and support staff during assigned shifts and ensures safe, quality care.

Qualifications and requirements
- License/
Education
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required up on hire. CLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
Experience
3 years experience required. Med Surg/Telemetry experience preferred.
