The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing, overseeing and coordinating the delivery of resident care during assigned shifts in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policy under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing/designee. This role provides clinical supervision to nursing assistants, ensures continuity of care, and serves as a key resource for residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities
- Supervises CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care
- Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities
- Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety
- Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed
- Transfers employees among units per staffing demands
- Completes performance evaluations for CNAs/STNAs
- Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns
- Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
Education and/or
Experience
Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current state license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment
