About this role
About Us
Calming Care Services LLC is a Georgia DCH-licensed Private Home Care Provider (PHCP #PHCP044730) serving Forsyth County and surrounding areas. We're licensed for nursing, personal care, and companion/sitter services. We're a newly licensed agency preparing to onboard our first clients, and we need an experienced RN to serve as our named Director of Nursing for licensing and regulatory purposes, with clinical duties expanding as we grow.
The Role
Read the full posting
This is a fractional, contract (1099) position — not full-time, and not a fit for someone needing guaranteed hours right now. We're pre-launch: no clients yet. Initially, the role is largely a standby DON-of-record arrangement for DCH compliance, with paid supervisory visits and clinical tasks beginning once we onboard clients. Ideal for an RN who wants a low-commitment foothold with a growing agency — a supervisory RN scaling back, a home health DON between roles, or a consultant already supporting other small agencies who has bandwidth for one more.
What You'll Do
- Serve as Calming Care Services' named Director of Nursing on file with Georgia DCH
- Once clients are onboarded: develop and sign off on nursing plans of care
- Conduct or oversee supervisory visits (vitals, assessment, care plan compliance) at required intervals
- Validate caregiver competency for delegated nursing tasks
- Audit clinical records monthly for DCH compliance
- Serve as clinical point of contact during DCH inspections and surveys
- Advise on nursing service policies and procedures
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Georgia RN license
- Experience in home care, home health, or private duty nursing supervision preferred
- Comfortable with an independent contractor structure and standby/growth-stage compensation
- Own malpractice coverage preferred (agency-provided coverage negotiable)
- Reliable transportation for client home visits in Forsyth County and surrounding areas once visits begin
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Compensation
- Monthly standby fee for serving as DON of record (paid regardless of client census)
- Per-visit fee once client services begin
- Compensation structure open to discussion and scheduled for review as client census grows
