Nashville General Hospital seeks to hire an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical Surgical Unit who will embrace our commitment to providing quality care to every patient and family member. This is an 18-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio.
As a Med/Surg RN you will
Admitting and assessing patients
Administering medication and treatments
Monitoring vital signs and symptoms
Running and ordering tests
Coordinating care with Physicians and Specialists
Charting Patient Progress
Required Skills & Qualifications
Compassionately communicating with patients and family members.
Paying attention to detail and staying organized when managing patient care and record keeping
Understanding applicable state regulations and following compliance practices
Assessing patient condition and noting it accurately according to the facility’s charting practices
Graduate of an accredited associate degree, Diploma, or Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing Preferred.
Current Licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state.
Employee must have valid BLS upon hire. ACLS, Chemotherapy Competency and CPI are required within 90 days of hire.
