What this means for you

The schedule rotates — ask early how far out they post it; that answer tells you a lot. Eight-hour shifts keep the days human-sized — rarer than it should be, and worth noticing.

Lubbock sits on the wide-open high plains of West Texas, offering a laid-back college-town energy thanks to Texas Tech University. Known as the 'Hub City,' it blends affordable suburban living with a surprising music heritage. Nurses relocating here will find a tight-knit community, flat horizons, and plenty of Texas pride.

Worth asking

We can’t answer these from the listing we have. Good ones to ask a recruiter or in the interview.

  • Can you walk me through the base pay range and differentials?
  • What should I expect for holiday, call, and rotation?
  • What preceptor time and ongoing unit support are included?
  • How are patient load, floating, and staffing support handled day to day?
