What You'll Do
As a Home NIV Patient Support LPN, you'll travel to the homes of established, stable patients to provide routine support with their respiratory therapy.
Responsibilities may include
- Performing scheduled home follow-up visits
- Scheduling and managing your assigned patient visits
- Reinforcing previously provided patient and caregiver education
- Retrieving NIV therapy usage and compliance information
- Performing basic inspections of NIV equipment and accessories
- Cleaning and inspecting respiratory equipment
- Delivering replacement supplies when appropriate
- Asking about recent hospital or ER visits and other changes that may require follow-up
- Identifying and communicating patient or equipment concerns to the Respiratory Therapy team
- Completing accurate and timely visit documentation
- Visiting established physician offices and referral sources when patient-care workload permits
- Assisting our Respiratory Therapists with referral-source education programs
You'll work closely with our Respiratory Therapists, who remain responsible for advanced NIV management, ventilator adjustments, respiratory-specific troubleshooting, new NIV setups, and other complex respiratory needs.
What We're Looking For
*Required:*
- Current Arkansas LPN license
- Valid driver's license
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in patients' homes
- Comfortable traveling throughout the service area
- Ability to manage your own schedule and field visits
- Dependable, self-motivated, and patient-focused
- Willingness to learn home respiratory equipment and NIV support
Home health, DME, pulmonary, respiratory, chronic-care, or field-based nursing experience is a plus, but *not required for the right candidate.*
*No NIV experience? That's okay.* Training on our equipment, procedures, documentation, and patient-support protocols will be provided.
