Your Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough preoperative assessments to evaluate patients' current physical and mental health.
- Coordinate care between patients, primary care providers, surgeons, and ancillary departments to ensure smooth surgical preparation.
- Utilize tools like the Surgical Risk Calculator to assess and communicate surgical risks, supporting informed decision-making.
- Provide clear guidance to patients on preoperative medications, arrival times, and surgical protocols.
- Directly provide patient care while delegating tasks as needed to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Collaborate proactively with the care team to solve problems and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program. Bachelors (BSN) is preferred.
Certificates, licenses, registrations
Must maintain current, active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado.
Must maintain current CPR certification.
Must maintain current ACLS certification.
Must maintain current PALS
