About this role

Under the supervision of the Clinical Lead, the RN assumes the responsibility for the nursing processes of assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation and infusion therapy needed to deliver safe, evidence-based care within their scope of practice. The RN coordinates treatment to provide comprehensive wound care, injections, therapeutic phlebotomy, lab draws, accessing/de-accessing port-a-caths and/or flushing ports as scheduled. This RN also works closely with the Charge Nurses as well as the hospitals pharmacist related to patient scheduled needs.

This RN's work is a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation and advocacy for options and services to meet health needs through communication and available resources to promote quality cost effective outcomes.

Requirements

  • RN License - Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Kansas or work permit from the State Board of Nursing
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - ADN
  • BLS Certification required or must complete within first thirty days of employment
  • ACLS certification may be required for certain patient care settings or populations
  • PALS required within one year of employment
  • Computer experience
