Registered Nurse – Neurology

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse assesses, manages, and provides patient-centered nursing care during hospitalization, coordinating planning with healthcare teams to ensure quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Conducts comprehensive assessments, develops and evaluates individualized care plans based on patient data, physician orders, and evidence-based practices. Delivers and documents nursing interventions, administers medications, monitors patient progress, and provides education and discharge planning. Recognizes and addresses changes in patient condition, implements specialized care such as restraint and pain management, and reports risks or abuse. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members, ensuring confidentiality and service excellence.

Qualifications and Skills

Must hold a valid RN license in the applicable state, with current BLS certification. Demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, flexibility, and adherence to safety, infection control, and performance standards. Ability to provide age-appropriate care, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies and procedures.
