Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assessments and treatments for residents in a long-term care setting
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses, reporting changes to the MD/NP as needed
  • Manage admitting and discharging processes, and assist with activities of daily living (ADL)
  • Provide care for gastrostomy tubes and urinary catheters; deliver nebulized treatments
  • Monitor and support wound care needs, including wound vac and CPAP care
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update care plans and ensure resident safety and comfort

Requirements

  • Active Hawaii Licensed Practical Nurse license (or eligibility to practice)
  • Prior LTC experience required
  • Ability to perform assessments, treatments, and medication administration as listed
  • Willingness to work rotating/varied shifts and adapt to census-driven scheduling
  • Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical/religious exemption required before contract start; flu vaccine may be administered during employee health clearance
  • Availability to begin work on or before the contracted start date and commit to a 13-week assignment
