*Job Summary* We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Pediatric NP/PA to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive pediatric care, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and health education for children of all ages. Your expertise will support families through preventive care, acute illness management, chronic condition oversight, and developmental monitoring.   • Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for pediatric patients across various age groups, from infants to adolescents.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, including medication administration, IV infusion management, and suturing when necessary.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions such as gastroenterology issues, infectious diseases, behavioral health concerns, and pain management strategies.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems, Athenahealth, to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing, sonography, and basic life support procedures.
  • Provide patient education on topics such as nutrition, developmental milestones, medication usage, and injury prevention tailored for children and their families.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital settings—including ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), emergency room, or outpatient clinics—to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
  • Support discharge planning, case management, and utilization review processes to optimize patient recovery pathways.

*Qualifications*

  • Valid Pediatric NP/PA certification/license with current state registration.
  • Proven experience working with children in diverse settings such as hospitals, clinics, assisted living facilities or home care environments.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatrics including physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including CPT coding), and medical terminology.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth is highly preferred.
  • Critical care experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is advantageous.
  • Skilled in procedures such as venipuncture, catheterization, spinal tap, dermal fillers (nice-to-have), suturing, tube feeding management, and sterile processing techniques.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote patient assessments is a plus.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with excellent patient assessment skills; experience in triage or emergency medicine is desirable.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
  • Additional experience in behavioral health, pain management, hospice & palliative medicine or working with individuals with developmental disabilities will be considered an asset.
