The nurse practitioner (NP) assists individuals and families with their care needs by obtaining health and medical histories, performing physical examinations, and assessing health problems. The NP cares for patients with acute and chronic life limiting illnesses by managing therapeutic regimens, prescribing medications and performing other studies and activities that are deemed appropriate.
Additionally, the NP will provide addiction management to patients – those who are in early stages of recovery, as well as those who have been clean for decades.

Qualifications

- Master's of Science. Certification as Adult, Family or Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (those soon to be eligible will be considered)
- APRN licensure, Nurse Practitioner and MA RN licensure. Maintain current controlled substance licenses (Federal and State)
- Willingness to complete training to prescribe medication assisted therapy (MAT Training via the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) to opioid dependent patients
- Two year's experience in Family Practice or Internal Medicine preferred (patients are aged 18 and above)
