About this role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing competent nursing care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Valley Children's Hospital, Central California's only Regional Level IV NICU. Responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. Practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies. NICU patient ratios are 1:1 or 2:1 in the ICU and 1:3 in Intermediate Care.

Requirements
- Accredited nursing program (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)
- RN - Registered Nurse License - CA-BRN - California Board of Registered Nursing (required)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program - AHA within six (6) months of hire or transfer into position (required)
- Experience to correlate with Clinical Advancement Program (required)
