Position summary
Provide direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. Provide medical management and assessment of patients. Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population. Direct the implementation of behavior management programs/plans and ensure consistent carry-through. Make patient & task assignments to subordinates & monitor their performance of duties. Provide training & education to staff, patients, families, & others. Document patient care, ensure that data is accurate, & that it is included in the master treatment plan via timely nursing care plan updates. Work with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu.
Education/Training
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Experience
Preferred: One-year inpatient psychiatric experience with adults, adolescents and/or children preferred. New graduates welcome
Licensure/Certification
