Schedule
Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Unit: Newborn Nursery/NICU
Compensation
- Taxable Rate: $21 per hour
- Weekly Taxable Wages: $756
- Weekly Non-Taxed Stipends: Up to $1,246 for eligible travelers
- Estimated Weekly Gross: $2,002
Stipend eligibility is based on applicable tax-home requirements.
Position Responsibilities
- Attend all deliveries
- Assign APGAR scores
- Complete newborn admission procedures and documentation
- Provide attentive, compassionate care to newborn infants
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
- Follow facility policies and newborn safety standards
The facility averages no more than approximately 35 births per week , providing a supportive environment focused on high-quality newborn care.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Nursery, Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, or NICU experience preferred
- Ability to begin the assignment quickly
- Current certifications and health documentation required by the facility
