About this role
This individual provides professional nursing care to patients needing nephrology care dialysis services in the acute hospitals and sub-acute facilities that have contracted with the Company for Hemodialysis or Peritoneal Dialysis. Duties include providing initiation and discontinuation of prescribed renal replacement therapy, formulating treatment plans per physician orders, administering medications, documenting patient assessments and vital signs, analyzing lab results, communicating emergencies, supervising patient care of teammates, and verifying accurate charges and documentation.

Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state to practice
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) from accredited school of nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N), or three-year diploma from accredited diploma program
- At least 1 year RN experience; medical/surgical (Med/Surg), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), and/or emergency room (ER)
- At least 6 months experience in an acute dialysis hospital or facility preferred but not required
- Hemodialysis and/or Peritoneal Dialysis nursing experience in an acute or chronic setting desired but not required
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN), Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) and/or Certified Hemodialysis Nurse (CHN) preferred but not required
- Willingness to work mandatory overtime with little or no notice
- Flexibility to travel to multiple hospitals within a given area
