About this role
Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of professional level nursing duties for patients served in the clinical areas. Facilitates all inbound, outbound, and interfacility patient transfers within Shannon Medical Center by coordinating with physicians, RNs, and other departments. Oversees bed placement within Shannon Medical Center and coordinates with other departments daily for bed planning. Coordinates with Case Management and other departments to facilitate transportation outside of the facility.
Qualifications
Education
- Required
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited nursing program
Experience
Preferred Two years or more of experience in Nursing
Certification/
Licensure
Required Registered Nurse (RN), with authorization to practice in the State of Texas Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date Preferred Certification in a Nursing Specialty Area, by an organization recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
