About this role
Registered Nurse position in the Backus Hospital Emergency Department, a 42-bed Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center. RNs work in collaborative environments with interdisciplinary teams focused on patient-centered care, utilizing evidence-based practices under the supervision of the Nurse Manager.
Requirements
Graduate of a school of nursing; BSN preferred
One (1) year RN experience and/or successful completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program required
BLS required
Ability to obtain and maintain ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certifications within 90 days of hire
Ability to obtain and maintain administration of moderate sedation within 9 months of hire
Current unrestricted License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut
Certified Emergency Nurse, Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
