About this role

As our Registered Nurse (RN) in Skilled Nursing Care, you will help patients and residents receive direct nursing care and ensure nursing activities are supervised effectively, so they can maintain the highest degree of quality care and cost-effectiveness within our facility. Every day, you will utilize technology, procedures, protocols, and standards specific to your assigned unit while also assuming a leadership role over nursing personnel. You will be expected to perform legible, timely, concise, and accurate documentation, communicate clearly using proper medical terminology, and adhere to policies, procedures, and standards in delivering care, medication, and treatments.

You will assist with admissions, discharges, or transfers and identify changes or abnormal signs and symptoms in patients, ensuring prompt follow-up with physicians and responsible parties. To be successful in this role, you must have knowledge of nursing care principles within the RN, LVN, and CNA scope of practice, working knowledge of Title 22, OBRA regulations, and Joint Commission requirements, and the ability to follow instructions, analyze data, coordinate tasks, and manage workload effectively.

Worth asking

We can’t answer these from the listing we have. Good ones to ask a recruiter or in the interview.

  • Can you walk me through differentials?
  • What should I expect for shifts, weekly hours, weekend, holiday, call, and rotation?
  • What orientation, preceptor time, and ongoing unit support are included?
  • How are patient load, floating, and staffing support handled day to day?
