Job Description
Educates patients regarding procedures and tests, and other hospital policies. Conducts patient care activities with respect for privacy and confidentiality. Identifies and responds to life-threatening situations appropriately.
Assists in the organization and coordination of patients to promote efficient flow within the department. Collaborates with staff as a team player to ensure quality patient care. Addresses ethical issues in patient care, such as Living Wills and Durable Power of Attorney.
Uses appropriate forms with high accuracy and attention to detail. Responds promptly and effectively to patient and guest needs. Receives and places reports in patient charts to prevent delays and complications.
Informs physicians of abnormal results as soon as possible. Notifies appropriate team when patients are available for pre-op interviewing. Performs EKGs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
