About this role

The Imaging RN, FT Days, provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures while supporting the continued growth of Morgan Medical Center's Imaging and Cardiovascular Service Lines. This position provides nursing support for Nuclear Medicine Stress Testing, Cardiac CT (CCTA), Interventional Radiology (IR), Cardiology, and other procedural areas requiring nursing intervention. Responsibilities include patient assessment, preparation, procedural assistance, IV therapy, medication administration, patient monitoring, recovery, education, and follow-up care.

The Imaging RN collaborates with physicians, technologists, and ancillary departments to provide safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care and may float to other departments as operational needs require.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
  • Current Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Strong IV insertion, patient assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Preferred: Two (2) years of experience in Critical Care, Emergency Department, Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, or Procedural Nursing
  • Preferred: Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, pharmacologic stress testing, moderate sedation, contrast administration, and outpatient cardiac monitoring
