THE FORUM is recruiting an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven Director of Nursing(DON) to lead our nursing department and ensure the highest standards of resident care in our Skilled Nursing Facility. The DON is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all nursing services while fostering a culture of clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and teamwork.
Salary Range : $119,184.00- $ 157,955.00 Bonus: Eligible for up to a 10% annual performance-based bonus.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a DON
- Responsible for the development, organization and operation of nursing services and supportive services for the Health Care Center and residential apartments.
- Responsible for the coordination of nursing services for apartment and Health Center residents including the procurement of outside sources such as, Home Health Care Services, private duty, hospice, rehabilitation services, psychological, etc. necessary to ensure that residents’ needs are met. Communicates and meets with outside consultants as necessary to assess and make recommendations for resident care needs.
- Responsible for the coordination and direction of the total planning for nursing services including recommendation through a staffing plan of the number and levels of licensed and certified nurses’ aides to be employed.
- Develops and maintains an effective restorative care program in collaboration with therapy providers.
- Selects, trains, evaluates, disciplines all nursing services personnel.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a schedule of daily rounds and assignments of duties for all nursing staff to assure 24-hour coverage sufficient to meet federal and state regulatory requirements and Facility standards of care.
- Develops and participates in a new staff orientation program for his/her employees, including private duty and agency staff.
- Oversees completion of written orientation and annual evaluations of all nursing staff.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident outcomes and satisfaction.
- Maintain a positive work environment focused on employee engagement and resident-centered care.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have
- BSN preferred; advanced degree a plus.
- Current California RN license in a good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility(SNF)
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a SNF required.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and staff development skills.
- Excellent clinical assessment, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with survey readiness, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
Ability to effectively manage nursing operations, staffing, budgets, and patient care services.
