Brigham and Women's Hospital, a nationally recognized academic medical center and member of Mass General Brigham, is seeking an experienced Perianesthesia Assistant Nurse Director to help lead our high-performing Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). What You'll Do As the Perianesthesia Assistant Nurse Director, you'll partner with nursing leadership to oversee the daily clinical and operational functions of the PACU while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include: • Lead and coordinate day-to-day nursing operations within the PACU. • Mentor, coach, and support nursing staff through ongoing development and performance feedback. • Oversee staff onboarding, education, and professional development initiatives. • Promote a positive, respectful, and psychologically safe work environment. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, patient-centered care. • Develop staffing plans that balance operational excellence with employee well-being. • Champion quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical excellence. • Serve as a visible, approachable leader who supports the team through both routine operations and complex clinical situations. Qualifications Required • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) • Master's Degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license • Minimum of 2–3 years of nursing experience Preferred • 2–3 years of nursing leadership experience • Current PACU/Perianesthesia experience • ACLS certification • BLS certification Why Brigham and Women's Hospital?
