About this role

*Summary*

*The New York State Veterans Home at Montrose* a 252-bed long term skilled care nursing facility owned and operated by the New York State Department of Health for Veterans and their dependents. We are located on the VA Medical Center Grounds.

*Responsibilities*

Under the direction of a registered nurse, physician, or other licensed health care provider, Licensed Practical Nurse performs nursing care tasks and procedures consistent with individual treatment plans and scope of practice to maintain health, prevent and cure illness and injury. They are responsible for medication administration and nursing procedures to individuals as prescribed.

Candidates must possess a license and current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.

The preferred candidate would have experience in a Long-Term Care setting with a geriatric population.
