*Endoscopy Technician - Gastroenterology | Day Shift*

We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician II to support a fast-paced Gastroenterology department. This role involves assisting physicians and nursing staff during endoscopic procedures, maintaining procedural equipment, monitoring patients, and ensuring compliance with infection control and sterilization standards.

Schedule

Monday – Friday

  • Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
  • Occasional schedule adjustment to 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM based on provider needs
  • No weekends
  • No on-call requirements
  • Local candidates required

*Required Qualifications*

  • Current BLS Certification
  • Previous GI Technician experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills preferred

*Key Respo*nsibilities

  • Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic and gastrointestinal procedures.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies prior to patient procedures.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient care during procedures.
  • Support procedures requiring sedation under clinical supervision.
  • Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain endoscopes and related equipment according to established protocols.
  • Handle specimens appropriately and coordinate delivery to laboratory departments.
  • Assist with patient admission, preparation, recovery, and discharge processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and quality control records.
  • Coordinate supply inventory and assist with ordering necessary equipment and materials.
  • Serve as a resource for equipment maintenance and vendor coordination.
  • Support orientation and training of new team members as needed.

  • Knowledge of gastrointestinal procedures and endoscopy equipment.
  • Strong understanding of infection prevention, sterilization, and patient safety standards.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate changes in patient condition.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative clinical environment.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.
