The Cor ICU/CCU (Critical Care Unit) is a 10-bed specialized unit that provides comprehensive critical care services for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions requiring intensive monitoring and advanced treatment. The unit is staffed by a highly skilled interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
The Registered Nurse provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care through assessment, treatment, care coordination, patient and family education, and individualized care planning while supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person, and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.
The Registered Nurse (RN) is an exemplar for compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy honoring nursing as a distinct discipline and supporting an environment focused on healing and wellness.
As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time ( 50%) coordinating, ensuring and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required
Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
Basic life support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.
ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.
