Medina Hospital’s 2 East unit is a 15-bed nursing unit providing professional care to post-surgical orthopedic and spine patients and is fully equipped to provide care for stable telemetry patients requiring ongoing cardiac monitoring. The unit delivers care to adult and geriatric patients in a manner that accounts for their age and developmental needs, with age-specific competencies required and completed annually. In addition to patients undergoing total joint replacement, the unit manages care for individuals requiring revisions, as well as lumbar and/or cervical decompressions, fusions, and laminectomies.
As an Assistant Nurse Manager on this unit, you will assist fellow RNs, physicians and medical staff in providing the best possible healthcare experience. Your work will mainly focus on evaluating patient condition, improving unit policies, managing caregiver schedules and welcoming new nurses to the team.
